About Us
Cornerstone Free Range Pastures is a small family-owned farm in Yale, Oklahoma nestled along the Cimarron River. Their focus is on quality pastures for grass fed animals.

Their goal is to make pure, healthy food affordable and accessible to everyone. They always say, you shouldn't have to be wealthy to eat healthy.

They have registered Katahdin sheep, cattle, and laying hens. And also have livestock guardian dogs that protect their animals from predators.
Practices
The folks at Cornerstone Free Range Pastures in Yale, OK are raising and farming a unique breed of sheep known as Katahdins. Unlike wool sheep, they shed their hair in the summer and never require sheering. Katahdin ewes are excellent mothers, usually having twins or triplets.

This breed of sheep is known for their low-maintenance and their adaptability. They are highly resistant to parasites. The sheep are rotated daily or every other day to minimize parasites and build fertile soil.

Their sheep are raised exclusively on pasture with high quality, free choice minerals. Throughout the winter they continue to rotate on reserved pastures while offering as little hay as possible. All lambs are pasture born and never see the inside of a barn.

They are currently the only farm in Oklahoma with Katahdins enrolled in the National Sheep Improvement Program (NSIP). By participating in the NSIP, they are able to offer customers a wealth of information about the genetic predictability of everything from parasite resistance to mothering ability.
